Automatically corrects speedometer and odometer readings for non-stock tire sizes and/or non-stock rear-end gear ratios (accurate odometer readings are required by law).
Easy to use, unfortunately it only adjusts up to 35" tires and i have 37's. Otherwise it would receive 5 stars.
They didn't mention any of this, I had to discover it on my own after buying it and opening the box.
Calibrator was easy to use and corrected my speedometer as needed.
Talked with tech support as I couldn’t get power to programmer, they had no answer. Finally I tried a portable battery phone charger and had no further issues.
It works great. Only down side is, if you have multiple vehicles, you have to buy one for each. Great product.
It works but for some reason the tire size is not accurate. I put 285/70/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers which measures 32.76”. In order for my speedometer to read accurately I had to set it too 31.5”. Accuracy was measured with GPS on cruise control at various speeds on the highway. Otherwise it works, btw the calibrator was updated before use.
Q: Does this have to remain connected to the vehicle or does it just update the existing computer Answer this question
A: The Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator - 3350 will calibrate and update the vehicle’s computer. If you’ve installed tires that are larger or smaller than original equipment tires, or if you have installed a ring and pinion gear set with a different rear gear ratio, Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator allows you to re-program for correct speedometer readings, as well as correct part-throttle shifting. The vehicle’s computer calculates your vehicle’s speed based on the diameter of the stock tires. If you’ve installed taller or shorter tires, or changed the rear gear ratio, the vehicle’s computer doesn’t know how fast your vehicle is going. As a result, the automatic transmission may not shift correctly and the speedometer readings will not be accurate (as required by law).

Q: My 2003 sierra 2500 lb7 has slightly larger than stock size. 32.5". In addition to speedo correction, will it make any difference with shift points due to ratio changes? Answer this question
A: Hello Ostin77, For your 03 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.6L, the design of this Speedometer Calibrator is to let your vehicle know Tire size and new gear ratio, no shift points info from device. You can update this speedometer calibrator HYP732500 to the Max Energy calibrator with Hypertech via website (I do not know how much they will charge to upgrade your calibrator). We do offer the Max Energy Power Programmer HYP32500 which will update shift points (does speedometer calibrator function plus more features). Thanks for checking us out.

Q: Will the tire size correction program over-ride my Livewire programmer used for engine performance increase? Answer this question
A: I believe you would have to return your truck to stock before using the hipertech. I have a edge on mine which corrected the speedometer but didn't like the way it made my truck shift and drive so thats why I purchased this unit. I don't think you can double stack programs.

Q: Will this unit adjust readings from wheel speed and VSS (vehicle speed sensor) to prevent ABS error light from being turned on? This pertaining to a change in rear gear size. ABS light and Brake light come on every drive due to different readings of front sensors and VSS sensor in center differential. Answer this question
A: Hello Gear, Yes, this will allow you to adjust the VSS. It will also clear the ABS code. Thank you for the question.
