Poison Spyder Bombshell diff covers are designed with the singular goal of protecting your Jeeps gears, lockers and diff cover bolts from the most punishing rocks and trail hazards. The stock covers your vehicle came with are weak, stamped sheetmetal. Even a moderate tap with a rock can cave it in against your ring gear, causing potential damage to the gears, locker and carrier bearings, not to mention a difficult, messy trail fix. Even more common, though less catastrophic, is peel back that can occur when sliding over a rock causes the lip of the cover to peel up, allowing your gear oil to drain causing a hazard for both your Jeep and the environment. The Bombshell Diff Cover is your best insurance against each of these hazards. The Bombshell differential cover is cast from highly ductile nodular iron—the same material drag racing differential housings are cast from to handle thousands of horsepower. The design of the Bombshell incorporates recesses to protect the diff cover bolt heads from trail damage, while the profile of the Bombshell acts as a ramp to help slide your Jeep up and over the most troublesome pumpkin-eaters. The ramp profile also results in an extremely thick & up to 1 inch thick—cross-section around the bolt ring, where contact with the rocks is most likely. Throughout the rest of its cross-section the Bombshell is the thickest cast differential cover on the market, from 7/16 inch to a brutal 1/2 inch thick at the outermost surface.

The cover looks very solid. I haven’t gotten the chance to bounce it off any rocks yet but I’m not worried about it. It might be a little too thick for aftermarket tie rods. I have Metalcloak steering and it just barely contacts the cover on a full lock left turn.
Product is exactly as described and is a beast of a diff cover. Have one for my D44 and it seems to be doing its job.

Great product ! Install is super easy. I added the lubelockers and am really happy with the result. Took the jeep to Moab the following week, took a pretty significant hit to the rear diff and the bombshells held up as expected.

1.0Don’t but if you own a 2019 or newer
Bought these for my wife’s Jeep (2021 Jeep JL Rubicon), if you have the m210 and m220 diffs these will not fit. 4 wheel parts needs to update their listing. This will fit Dana 44 2007-2018 and will not fit 2019- current models. Waste of money as my wife threw away the boxes.

I see part number 42-10-030, wich is the old part number that is not compatible with the stock JK (Front) but the new 42-11-030 is compatible.
Are you shipping hte 42-10-030? or the new one?

2005 Jeep Wrangler 2" lift 33" tires
Stock differential cover, just had $1500 worth of steering work done at your Copell Store. My track bar is scraping my differential cover. (I run offroad with the sway bar disconnected)
1) what's the fix to this issue? (Hopefully without spending too much more money)
2) will this differential cover be compatible? Or am I just going to be scraping even more?

It will rub more on the track bar as this cover is a little thicker. Some of the track bars have more of a bend to clear the covers. You might check with the Coppell and see which bar they used.
