Pro Comps Lateral Traction Bars are engineered to reduce axle wrap on lifted vehicles, without reducing valuable ground clearance or suspension articulation. Engineered to fit your specific vehicle for perfect fit and easy installation. Mounting kit sold separately, sold in pairs and finished in black powdercoat.
Bars do not look like what is pictured. Completely different. And are scratched.
Easy install and look good. Helped with the axle hop on the Lifted Chevy/454 combo.
bought these traction bars and brackets for my 2008 Tacoma with a 6'' suspension lift. I noticed after installing the lift and 33'' tires that I now had a lot of rear leaf spring wind up on acceleration and stopping. After installing these traction bars the problem was completely eliminated, smooth starting and stopping now. Installation took me approximately 3 hours (taking my time), biggest job installing bars is drilling the 8 holes in your frame to bolt on front frame brackets.
Didn’t eliminate wheel axle wrap, but works with bags, fitment wasn't perfect with axle pads either, should of went with a wrap trap instead

Q: What mounting kit do I need for a 1999 Tacoma pre runner with a 6” lift Answer this question
A: Dave has no idea what he's talking about. SR5 is a trim package, Pre-runner is a suspension package. You can have both SR5 & Prerunner, or one, or neither. Same with Limited (LX). Most differences were cosmetic. Nothing is different for the sake of this part. 4WP should only be distinguishing between 5-lug or 6-lug 1st gen Tacomas. Here is the associated mounting kit (P/N: 77182B): https://www.4wheelparts.com/p/pro-comp-traction-bar-mounting-kit-77182b/_/R-DFCW-77182B

Q: I have seen some people add shocks to the Rear lateral traction bars # 71000B - is this just for looks or does it actually serve a purpose ?? Answer this question
A: Traction bars keep the axle from twisting backwards while it forces the drive wheels to turn forwards, completely eliminating leaf spring windup, and keeping the rear drive wheels forced down to the pavement for superior traction.
